gnustep-core-devel software package provides GNUstep Development Environment -- core libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnustep-core-devel
gnustep-core-devel is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnustep-core-devel package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnustep-core-devel *
You will get with gnustep-core-devel package name, version, architecture and description in a table
